Iku Okada (岡田育) is an Essayist, Editor and Designer. Based in New York City, also as known as ‘okadaic’ in social media.

Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Her work experience started as a full-time editor at a publishing house for magazines and books. After turning into a freelance essayist in 2012, Iku authored two autobiographies and one co-written book. Well-versed in Japanese literature and Otaku culture, appeared on many TV programs and magazines as a cultural commentator. Several essay series are running in magazines and websites.

Iku moved to United States since 2015 and graduated from Parsons School of Design, NY. Graphic Arts became her second language. Her motto is “to think the way of thinking”. Through the narrative works of both writing and designing, taking the unconventional approach of both verbal and nonverbal, Iku communicates to the world.
